PLAYING WITH BALANCE
We are proud to host Hand-balancer George Swattridge, who has been teaching Hand-balancing at Sudden Movements for over a year now. His classes have developed so many of our students, giving them the knowledge and confidence in spending more time on two hands!
George is excited to be diving a bit deeper with his latest concept ‘Playing with balance’, that will give you both fun and playful tools to level up your strength and balance in handstands.
During the workshop you will work on unusual shapes, leg flourishes and handstand walking as well as games to challenge each other to find more consistent balance.
These skills will also build bodily awareness that will inform those who would like to progress to more advanced skills such as the one arm handstand.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT GEORGE
George’s training in hand balancing, contemporary dance and yoga influence his playful and exploratory method of teaching.
