In Motion – Beginners Movement Workshop – 4th March – **SOLD OUT**
Develop your movement practice and expand your movement complexity with our 4-hour ‘iN MoTioN’ movement workshop. A system and principle based educational process in covering movement practice.
Movement is more than just an interpretation of strength, conditioning, muscular endurance and whatever other fitness attribute you choose to include.
Our quest for fitness or a discipline is usually with a reason or goal in mind – to be strong or to lose weight are a few that come to mind. It doesn’t matter how fit, strong or how much stamina you have. What is important is how you move – because the human body is clearly designed to do so. A LOT.
We always seem to be in pursuit of some kind of trophy strength, toughness or some invisible macho award, instead of looking at the bigger picture. What is important to understand, is that the quality of your movement will eventually carry over into the quality of your life.
During the workshop,participants will be exposed to a number of movement modalities that will include;
Floor & coordination
Learning how to communicate with the ground and promote neurological connections that will give participants the tools to expand their creative knowledge and improve movement potential.
You will learn how to crawl and move gracefully on the floor, whilst constructing circular squatting and spiral like patterns. An essential tool for the development of your joint health, sequential ability and most importantly, your movement freedom. The movement patterns are broken down into more easily digestible parts for you to practice. Eventually, you will integrate the smaller parts together and things will begin to flow.
Although the workshop is for all levels, beginners will undoubtably benefit the most.
Understanding the basics of your movement practice in the beginning and getting to grips with how this translates to the more advanced skills is of the utmost importance.
